Available Roles:

Macbeth: (30-50) Male.  A well-respected warrior and noble of the Scottish Army.  This character, through the course of the show, goes from a loving, witty, loyal man to an uncaring, obsessed brute.  Must be capable of showing emotional and physical progression into madness.

Lady Macbeth: (25-40) Female.  Macbeth’s crafty, ambitious wife.  This character, through the course of the show, goes from a confident, intelligent woman to a sorrowful, regretful mess.  Must be capable of showing emotional and physical progression into madness.

Three Witches: (20+) Female.  Three mysterious sisters of various ages who play a hand in sealing Macbeth’s fate through premonition.  These characters will be playing multiple roles throughout the show.  Must be capable of playing multiple roles in quick succession and able to show contrast between incredible movement and intense stillness.

Macduff: (30-50) Male.  (30-50) Male.  A strong Scottish noble who is immediately suspicious of Macbeth.  He is a leader behind the resistance to Macbeth’s rise and, eventually, the one responsible for Macbeth’s death.

Lady Macduff: (25-40) Female.  A strong, caring woman.  The wife to Macduff.  She is sarcastic, witty, and skeptical of the power grabs the men around her attempt.

Duncan: (40-60) Male.  The king of Scotland.  A noble, respectful man whose death sets off much of the plot of the show.

Malcolm: (20-30) Male.  The first son of Duncan.  Following the murder of his father, he flees to England to escape a similar fate and returns with an army to reclaim the throne.

Banquo: (30-50) Male.  A charismatic, sarcastic warrior and friend to Macbeth.  In many ways, his character serves as a rebuke of Macbeth, following the path that Macbeth could have taken to avoid disaster.

Ross: (20-40) Male.  A Scottish noble who remains loyal to the Duncan line and seeks, with Macduff, to put Malcolm on the throne.

Lennox: (20-40) Male.  A Scottish noble who remains loyal to the Duncan line and seeks, with Macduff, to put Malcolm on the throne.
